Who am I

I'm Alexander de Koster, a photographer based in the Netherlands, born in 1980 and passionate about capturing the world through a lens. My journey in photography began with formal studies in Photographic Design from 2005 to 2007 in Amsterdam, where I developed a strong foundation in visual storytelling and composition.

My work spans several disciplines, with a focus on street photography, product photography, and journalistic photography. Whether I'm capturing the raw energy of urban life, the fine details of everyday objects, or telling a story through images, I aim to create photographs that are both honest and visually compelling.

In addition to my photography, I work as a team lead in IT—a role that sharpens my analytical thinking and attention to detail. While I currently balance both careers, I'm actively building towards becoming a full-time photographer.
